How to maintain your Pure Crystal

Pure Crystal is water fountain which filters water and keep it clean fresh for your pet all the time.
Maintain the unit once a week to ensure clean and fresh water.
We especially recommend maintenance of the unit once every two or three days in summer time or under hot climates.
If the unit is not thoroughly maintained, it will most probably be moldy.

We strongly recommend maintenance of the pump once a month in order to remove hair, leftovers, and other particles which will interfere the performance of the impeller.

* Periodcal maintenance will differ depending on the condition of the unit
* Be sure to unplug the unit before maintenance.

イオン交換樹脂ってなに？

イオン交換樹脂とは、非常に小さい粒状の合成樹脂です。 大きく分けて陽イオン交換樹脂と陰イオン交換樹脂の2つがあります。ピュアクリスタルの軟水化フィルターで使っているのは、陽イオン交換樹脂です。

カルシウムイオンや、マグネシウムイオンなどの陽イオンを含む水が陽イオン交換樹脂に接触すると軟水となります。おもな用途としては、イオン交換水の製造、海水の飲料水化、科学工業での精製などに使われています。

軟水ってなに？

水は硬度によって『硬水』と『軟水』に区分されます。

硬度とは、水中に溶けているカルシウムイオンとマグネシウムイオンの量で決まります。 一般的に軟水・硬水と呼ばれているのは、この硬度の数値のことです。そして硬度分を多く含んだ水を「硬水」、その反対を「軟水」と呼んでいます。

軟水化フィルターをセットし、水を循環させ水の全硬度を測定
（全硬度45ppm　水温25℃）
※全硬度とは水中に含まれるマグネシウム、カルシウムの量を数値化したものです。
